Glazed background

I love creating backgrounds for my paper projects and the new Simon Says Stamp challenge (make your own background) is perfect for me.
I made a tile with grunge paste, distress inks and embossing powder.
The tutorial can be found on Barbara Gray's blog.

The flowers and the leaves are from Sheena Douglass - Crafter's Companion.
I created the background for the flowers with shaving foam and Memento reinkers.

Spring flowers

I made a couple cards with my favourite Altenew stamps (Painted flowers).

I used dye inks (various brands) and I added some embossed swirls (I used Wow silver embossing powder) to add some more texture to the card.
The sentiment is from Flourishes (retired).

A new tag of the month

I made a new tag with the techniques explained by Tim Holtz for his 12 tags of the month: March.
You can find a tutorial HERE.

For the background I used Distress Paints and I stamped a Kaisercraft stamp. Then I stamped the butterflies from the Kaisercraft stamp on a piece of paper painted with Distress Paints, I cut them out and I applied glossy accents on all the butterflies.

I used a chicken wire stencil with embossing paste and I applied gold embossing powder.

The words have been stamped by using alphabet stamps.

Tag of the month: March

I made a tag inspired by the new tag of the month made by Tim Holtz.

I loved the techniques he showed and I could not wait to try them.

Also, I want to partecipate in "a vintage journey" challenge, this month the theme is "anything Tim".

The new challenge at Simon Says Stamp is B is for...

for me B is for BUTTERFLY
I challenged myself to alter a gelli print with Designs by Ryn stamps , embossing powders and a big butterfly stamp (Sheena Douglass- Crafter's Companion) as a focal point.
The butterfly is coloured with Luminarte Primary elements (pigment+mica),

Challenge: just a hint of clover

I love green!
I have a card for the new Simon Says Stamp challenge: just a hint of clover.
I made a background with Peerless watercolours, I added dots with a stencil and pigment inks (bohek technique) and I stamped Designs by Ryn stamps with a grey ink.
Then, I stamped feathers with Versamark and I heat embossed them with Silver embossing powder.

I added a sentiment (Flourishes stamps) so I can send this card to a dear friend.
I also added some acrylic gemstones to give more sparkle to the background.
