My FIRST watercoloured postcards

I have started some online watercolour classes.
My favourite is WATERCOLOR BLISS with Alisa Burke.

I have taken some leaves from the Finnish forest that surrounds my house and I traced them down on watercolour paper.
I have tried to mix the watercolours paints (Winsor and Newton) to reproduce the colours of the leaves.

I traced the leaves with a Micron black pen from Sakura.

The frame has been hand-drawn with the same Micron pen.

Finally I have made my own handmade garland.
I used the Tattered leaves die designed by Tim Holtz.
The leaves were die cut from cream cardstock. Then I sprayed them with Distress Inks and I added some highlights with Distress Ink and blending tool.
I don't have the Tim Holtz stamps that match with these leaves so I used Kitchen Sink Stamps (3-step autumn squirrel)

For coloring these leaves I was inspired by a youtube video (very long and informative, I love it) from a very talented lady from New Zealand (Dianne of Art of Craft).

Bright bookmark 2

I have another bright bookmark to share.
This time, the stamps I used are from Papertrey (Remember set). I really love this set, it is packed with many images. I used both the outline flower and solid flower stamps.
I stamped them on Gina K white cardstock.
The ribbon is from Papertrey.
I cut the scalopped bookmark base with Nestabilities rectangular dies. Basically, since the die is not so long, I cut a rectangle half way, then I move the cardstock and I cut from the other end. It takes a bit of practice but with a short rectangle die you can cut a long rectangle by readjusting the cardstock on the die halfway through the cut.
